Jim's Garter Stitch Scarf

Jim's had his scarf just in time for cold weather.
Pattern: none, just garter stitch

Yarn: Malabrigo in chocolate, 2 skeins

Needles: US # 10

Although this was intended for Jim, I wear this scarf a lot now too. Of course, he gets first pick of the scarves in the morning if he wants it. It is only fair.

That's a gorgeous colorway! I bet Jim loves it.

I love Malabrigo. That stuff is awesome. Mat's mom got me 4 skeins for Christmas last year (woot!) -- that became Wicked...it's a bit pilly, but I don't mind. I think Malabrigo is better suited to hats and scarves anyway.

I'm trying to convince myself that I don't need to order 4 skeins of 3-ply (the same company sells as 100purewool.com) for a Clapotis (I feel as if I'm the only person in knitting-dom who hasn't made one). At least not until after I've made some other stuff out of my stash...which won't be until after I hand-in my thesis. Boo.

There are all kinds of patterns that I think I should knit because everyone else does. Am I really missing out on something by not knitting a Rusted Root? Probably not.

I love Malabrigo! Love it! Maybe Jim's mom will get me yarn for Christmas this year, that would be awesome!
