Knucks

I had one glove syndrome with these for a couple months. Since it was starting to get cold, I just sat down and finished the other glove. Pattern: Knucks from Knitty.com

Needles: US #4 Dpns

I didn't do any modifications but somehow one of the gloves ended up a little longer than the other. Ooops! Also, I'm not crazy about this yarn, or the pattern for that matter. The yarn is too thin for these, and I like the cigar pattern from Knitty better. Jim likes his gloves really tight and the way the fingers are done on Knucks, holes are appearing at the knuckles. This is probably just my fault but the fingers on my Dad's gloves are just fine. I'm going to eventually buy more Swish Superwash and make a pair of fingerless gloves for Jim based on the Cigar pattern.

OL DAD IS REALLY HAPPY ABOUT THE FINGERS ON HIS GLOVES BEING JUST FINE. NOW I WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR XMAS TO SEE WHAT COLOR THEY ARE. IT'S NOT LIKE MY FAVORITE DAUHGTER TO GIVE AWAY WHAT SHE IS GIVING FOR GIFTS. NOW MOM IS WATCHING THE BLOG EVERY HOUR TO SEE IF THERE WILL BE ANY HINTS AS TO WHAT HER PRESENT WILL BE. LOVE YOU AMANDA.

WELL, OL DAD RECEIVED TODAY WHAT HE THOUGHT WAS TO BE A XMAS PRESENT. CAME FEDERAL EXPRESS FROM MY FAVORITE DAUGHTER. JUST TO LET ANYONE WHO READS THIS BLOG, THEY ARE AWESOME. NO HOLES AT THE KNUCKLES OR ANY PLACE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER. JUST IN TIME FOR DEER HUNTING FRIDAY MORNING. THEY FIT PERFECT AND WILL KEEP MY HANDS FROM GETTING CHILLED. SURE WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY DAY. LOVE YOU AMANDA.

You did such a good job on the gloves!! I'm intimidated by the fingers. All those dpn's with a few confined stitches. I'm really wanting to try some gloves from Selbuvotter.... http://spinningwheel.net/?cat=9

Thanks! I don't think gloves are hard to make at all. I go through them much faster than the one sweater I am trying to make. So far I do much better with small projects because I get bored easily.
